Our Story

Hi - Chrissy and Emily here to bring you some delicious granola. We are two friends (+ chefs) on a mission to create a product that is healthy, craveable and fun.

We wanted to bring fun back into snacking. We are BIG snackers, but found ourselves picking at the same old things everyday. Nothing tasted great and contained hidden sugars and allergens that were leaving us run down during the day. In order to curb our own cravings, we created Stellar Granola. Inspired by the flavors of our childhood and ingredients that fuel the body.

Meet the Founders

  • Co- Founder

    Chrissy’s love for cooking started at a young age learning Filipino classics from her Lola. Undecided about a future in medicine after graduating college, she staged in a kitchen where she was offered her first kitchen job. Her culinary career took off from there. She realized that her attention to detail, creativity and desire to learn was a perfect fit to be successful in kitchens. She dove in head first, staging and working in Chicago restaurants, such as Vincent, Blackbird, Bar Pastoral, Alinea and Bouchon in Napa. She has worked her way up from stage to Executive Chef, traveling with Cirque du Soleil's culinary team and now Lead R&D Chef at Tovala.

    Chrissy’s love for food is prevalent in everything she does. She is the secret ingredient behind our granola.

  • Co-Founder

    Emily’s passion for food also began at a young age, glued to the TV watching Food Network. Emily’s relationship to food began to change in college when dealing with various gut health issues. After years of failed diagnosis her relationship to food become one of healing. Searching for a holistic way to fuel the body. This led Emily to attend the Natural Gourmet Institute, a culinary school which specializes in food as medicine. Emily continued her culinary journey at a farm-to-table restaurant in New York, managing the kitchen at Sakara and now Senior R&D Chef at Tovala.

    Emily’s desire to eliminate the stigma that “healthy” or “allergen-friendly” foods are not delicious, drives Stellar Granola’s promise to create delicious food that fuels your body.
